Back at the office…
…a young woman shares an afternoon with her grandfather. I wonder who bought? Savour the moment, miss.

BUT
Just two […]

Still there? Here’s what’s been up as of late:
theStory
theStory had its first gathering outside of my livingroom this past Sunday. As posted earlier on this blog, we were going to be housed in Central United’s chapel, but unfortunately(?) that fell through at the last minute. However, this opened the door for us to be at […]

I’ve discovered the place where that Bono was describing in the famous U2 song…Ingersoll, Ontario. I just got home from the city of 11,000 where a number of major intersections had no street signs. What a freakshow…
And why was I in Ingersoll? I had the privilege of sharing at a leaders retreat for The Embassy, […]

*theStory: Week 3

Once again, we met over a potluck meal and continued our development of the value ‘Regeneration’, and focused the majority of our time talking about the signs of a healthy church, and the conditions of a sick one (Specifically, we explored the ideas of being a reflective and redemptive community). Honesty prevailed, as it seemed […]

Ever been to a foreign country, pulled out of your wallet a wad of cash from your native land only to have the shop keeper purse his lips and shake his head signifying: “Your money ain’t no good here”? This is one of the ways that I’ve experienced church planting: A millionaire in one land, […]

Last Sunday, we planted a church. The festivities started around 11:30am, formally ended just after 2:30pm and the last of the participants left around 6:00pm. Our house was full of laughter, reflection, the crashing and banging of kids and the smell of a home cooking.
