Ready for some more disjointed, fragmented thoughts & ramblings?
*Saskatoon: Lots of fun, met some great people and after spending 8 days with a bunch of rowdy Jr. Highers I almost missed being a youth pastor. Almost.
*Prison Break: Over the last 2 weeks I’ve ingested 2 seasons of this serial drama. Season 1: Tremendous. I love stories where the characters are in confined places and are forced to improvise to achieve their goals - 9/10. Season 2: Ouch. I think the plot escaped with the cons at the end of season 1 - 4/10.
*Grrrrr: Ed Norton and the Hulk 2 crew were at my Dad’s soft drink factory today. Apparently my dad was right in the thick of things, chatting it up with Norton as well as head of Marvel Comics…he even got them to down a Brio (the company’s signature drink). Funniest thing is that as kids were never allowed to go to the movie theater. I guess aiding and embedding in the production of a film is not as sinful as actually watching one. And for the record, my dad has no sweet clue who Norton is.
*Documentary: There are new updates on the documentary. Check ‘em out.
*The Inevitable?: I broke down and bought a new suit this week. The last time I made such a purchase was 7 years ago, and the suits before that predate my marriage of 9 years. All that to say, my collection of 3 suits are truly showing their age in more ways that one…anyway…whilst I was fumbling in the dressing room at Moores the speaker above my head was blasting Nirvana. Kurt is still reeling in his grave. There’s a lesson to be learned in there somewhere.
*Saturday Night:

So, for the last two weeks I’ve been walking around with this nagging feeling I’m forgetting something. Something that would completely alter the course of my life.
Then..
I read this post, and saw the DEF LEPPARD tickets.
At that moment, it hit me….
…it definitely had nothing to do with DEF LEPPARD.
Thank-you.
Barry.
