it’s obvious: i’m not a blogger. for a few reasons, i tire of the blog concept…and yeah yeah, i know what they say, all bloggers go through a time where they grow weary of their blog and they threaten to give it up..but this is for real, and here’s my primary hang-up: i no longer feel the need to make my personal thoughts public. in fact, with the advent of online soapboxes like facebook and myspace, i would argue that we’re far too public with our personal stuff these days. plus, if someone really wants to catch up on my life or what i’m up to, i can be reached by phone, email, skype, letter, telegram, fax or messenger pigeon. my fear is, at their worst, blogs can are a substitute for real relationships, and i don’t want any part of that.
so…here’s how things are going to play out. i’ll still be ‘online’ but only in the following capacities:
theStory.ca: here you can track with my life’s work.
thinkerlabs.ca: here you can thumb through some of my creative outlets.
documentary: here you can follow along with my most recent project.
some last things that i’d like you to know:
*i’m now a full fledged
*along with nathan, i’m launching a new company in the next few days to support my church planting habit
*i’m helping a new friend out by shooting a mini-documentary on his life’s work
*with fingers crossed, it looks like we’ll finally have some permanent rental space for theStory. check it out. (btw, the landlord has agreed to a lease to own clause…if we choose to buy the place at the end of the first year, he’ll take 100% of the rent from the first year and apply it as a downpayment)
and finally…
thanks for tracking with me. it’s been fun.
